Wow what a whopper!!

It's the new big Radio Berner Oberland transmitter at the top of the Niesen mountain. Click the pics for a larger view!

And it looks like a big success in testing.

Of course, it's not so powerful as the International Deutsche Welle relay that I visited at Cyclops, where you could hear the programmes in a metal bucket held in the direction of the transmitter. Think what it was doing to my brain cells!  What do you mean 'that explains a lot'?!

It seems incredible but Infotourist along with Radio BeO is 20 years old this year, with Mike clocking up an amazing 6000 editions of the programme without missing a show! (Guinness Book of Records take note!) Birthday celebrations will be taking place during the week of 4th - 9th June, with Radio BeO's big boss on the show on the Saturday morning! Watch out Mike! Sadly a lot of the early recordings of the show were lost in the floods of 2005, so we wait to see what Mike can pull out of the bag!

Rosemarie has revisited the Gelmer and it's amazing new bridge!

Catch up with the trip on her page of rambles!

'Oh hell it's the Incrowd'
'Look how many of them there are!'
'What am I going to do now?!'
All comments you may have heard during the Incrowd invasion of the Radio Beo's studios in the summer, of which more later.
Uncle Mike gave Pinkie her first solo radio interview. Thanks to Rod C for the snap!

I received an email from a certain lady journalist who described the chap pictured here as a 'gorgeous hunk'.. well soon all will be revealed (I mean i'll be telling you more phew!)Meanwhile you'll have to put up with a photo of the lovely chap, and the fellow by the side is popular Swiss musician and composer Jay H.

The lovely lovely Fränzi..... check out her blog! A chance to practice your German...oh and it's for ladies!!

Above the new 'sleek' 'sophisticated' Fred, Radio BeO's music computer.... well 'sleek' anyway!

Below is the old version of Fred.. one chip short of a fish!

Engineer Patrick is very proud of Fred!!! But it's not just the computers that make a radio station.. it's the people!!!! Hurray!!!

Choosing the music on Infotourist.......
